Basketball Camp

• We have the ability to lower the baskets at Windy Hill Middle School.

• Our camp will provide 5 “sayings of the day” that the campers will treasure forever. The “saying of the day” will involve a brief story related to basketball.

• Each day will involve stretching and a major focus on a particular skill or fundamental.

• Arrival will be as early at 8:30 am with first whistle and camp beginning at 9:00 am each day.

• Campers may stay until 12:15 pm each day.

• If you are staying for the shooting camp, please bring your own lunch.

• Water bottles and/or drinks must remain outside of the gymnasium area at all times. Please label your child’s water bottle.

• Leagues will be determined at first by age, and then adjusted by skill level as needed. We usually attempt to have 20-24 campers in each league with 5 instructors per league.

• There will be daily games and/or competitions.

• One-on-one, free throw, and knock-out champions will be determined within each league.

• Major emphasis is on individual improvement with a minor emphasis on team play.

• Water breaks will be provided throughout each session.

• We have the ability to lower the baskets at Windy Hill Middle School. Younger campers should try to sign up for week 1. We will provide shorter baskets (portable) at Calvert High as needed based on enrollment.

• Each camper will receive a booklet on Friday that includes sample workouts, review of all drills, and logs for recording individual improvement.

• NO ONE should bring a personal basketball. All basketballs will be provided at camp.

• Talk to anyone who has attended one of our camps and hopefully you will make the decision to sign up today. Contact Coach McGuffin if you have any questions.

• We would like to have no more than 72 campers. Additional staff will be hired if we go over this amount for any week and we are aware of the numbers in a timely fashion.
